Details Over the Summer: In the Fall: Students are expected to read the grade level book recommendations and focus on the character development and themes crafted by Matt de la Pena. In the Fall: Students will have the opportunity to enter a contest sponsored by FSU and possibly earn the chance to meet the author and get a signed book! In addition, grade 7 and 8 students will participate in an assembly in November and listen to Matt de la Pena tell his story in person!
