Presentation transcript:

What is the (sub)objective of WP8 by the end of the project? Creating a thematic network to increase the economic, social and environmental sustainability of dairy farming in Europe: by stimulating a knowledge flow of practice based innovations (lines) by putting dairy farmers at the center of communications to a wider audience of dairy industry and professionals (dots)

Profile our network Current functionality: search participants within our network (with pop-up contact details) New functionality: create your own network by bundling on work package themes and/or innovation topics (f.i. housing systems or biodiversity) https://eurodairy.eu/the-eurodairy-network/gis-map/

Interests and numbers OG’s across EU

Impacts, effects and beyond Update: mid term report (July 2017) 4860 users website 5440 viewers webinars 400 live visitors webinars 32 dairy correspondents / journalist across Europe >90.000 (dairy) farmers total media coverage >50 countries (also Russia, USA, Canada and Brazil) Grand total: 100.732 dairy farmers and professionals reached so far. That’s 50,4% of total amount EU-15 dairy farmers.

The next level How to manage a better flow of content between countries? Dairy farm students from consortium partners (f.i. universities in Poland and Portugal) host Q&A-sessions on hot innovation topics at our online website forum How do we ‘milk’ pilot farmers/innovative farmers and their stories the best? Farmers love to “see” innovations themselves and interconnect with each other about more details . That’s why we want to make dairy innovations as clear and visible as possible, but cost efficient, like video case studies, farm signs and novel ICT-techniques. What’s our legacy after the project? EuroDairy is all about building a self-sustaining network. How do we harvest this? GIS-map that runs like a yellow pages on (sub)themes and innovation topics. Visitors can draw their own map of innovations.
