SAE Pre-Professional Education SAE AeroDesign Programmatic Design Regular Class Teams demonstrate a fundamental understanding of electric aircraft design and flight. Micro Class Teams demonstrate and defend an all-electric aircraft design that achieves the highest payload flight, while pursuing the lowest empty weight possible. Advanced Class Teams employ a systems-based approach to develop an autonomous aircraft capable of self-adjusting to environmental conditions and deliver “people” and supplies to a target delivery point.
