And their characteristics
Young animals inherit their features from their parents.
Classification All living things are grouped according to their features They are divided first into Kingdoms The two main Kingdoms are the Plant Kingdom.

UNIT 3: ANIMALS WHERE THEY LIVE WILD/DOMESTIC GROUND (grasslands, farm, jungle…), WATER (sea, river…), AIR. WHAT THEY EAT CARNIVORES HERBIVORES OMNIVORES.
ANIMALS. WHAT ANIMALS EAT HERBIVORES HERBIVORES - These animals eat plants. - Sheep and zebras are herbivores. - They eat different parts of plants: roots,
Amphibians 1.Amphibian are cold blooded animals.
CLASSIFYING ANIMALS. Classifying Animals Vertebrates: Animals with backbone. Invertebrates: Animals without backbone.
Types of Animals There are two main types of animals: Vertebrates and InvertebratesVertebrates and Invertebrates Vertebrates (have a backbone): Mammals.

The Animal Kingdom Animals are broadly divided into vertebrates and invertebrates. Animals Vertebrates Invertebrates.

Classify: to sort into groups. Students will classify organisms into groups and relate how they determined the groups with how and why scientists use.

VERTEBRATES INVERTEBRATES ANIMALS VERTEBRATES INVERTEBRATES

DEFINITIONS VERTEBRATES:All vertebrates have got an internal skeleton and a backbone.their bodies usually consist of:a head (skull),a trunk (with or without a tail) and usually four limbs. They are five groups of animals. INVERTEBRATES:They are animals that have not got an internal skeleton or backbone. OVIPAROUS:They are animals that lay eggs VIVIPAROUS:They are animals that are born from they mothers alive.

VERTEBRATES AMPHIBIANS FISH REPTILES BIRDS MAMMALS

FISH -They are aquatic animals. -They are oviparous because they lay eggs. -They are omnivores because they eat algae, plancton or other fish. -They breathe with gills . -They have fins and flippers. -There bodies are covered in scales.

AMPHIBIANS -They are land animals but they have to live close to water. -They are oviparous animals. -They are carnivores because they eat insects. -The tadpoles breathe with gills but the frog breathe with lungs. -They skin have to stay wet.If they skin dries out, they can die.

REPTILES -They are land and aquatic animals. -They are oviparous because they lay eggs on dry land. -They can be omnivores or carnivores. -They breathe with lungs. -They have got scales, claws, four legs and some a shell.

BIRDS -Some can fly and others cannot fly. -They are oviparous animals. -They are omnivores. -They breathe with lungs. -They have got feathers,a beak, wings, claws and scales on the leg.

MAMMALS -They are land and aquatic animals -They are viviparous animals because they born from they mothers alive. -They can be carnivores, herbivores and omnivores. -They breathe with lungs or gills. -they have got fur, fins and gills

INVERTEBRATES CNIDARIA WORMS ECHINODERMS MOLLUSCS ARTHROPODS

CNIDARIA -They are aquatic animals. -They are oviparous. -They are carnivores . -They breathe with gills. -They have got poisonous tentacles. -They can live fixed in one place or swimming and floating n

WORMS -They are land and aquatic animals. -They are oviparous . -They are omnivores. -They breathe with lungs or gills. -They have got very long bodies. -Some are divided into segments or rings.

ECHINODERMS -They are aquatic animals. -They are oviparous animals. -They are -They breathe with gills. -They are usually shaped like a star or a ball. -They are covered in a shell and it has got long spines sticking out of it.

MOLLUSCS -They are land and aquatic animals. -They are oviparous. -They are omnivores. -They breathe with lungs or gills. -Some have got a shell to protect their bodies. -Others have not got a shell but they have got a ink for protect.

ARTHROPODS -They are land and aquatic animals. -They are oviparous. -They are omnivores. -They breathe with lungs or gills. -They have armour plates.
