Before We Begin….. Group 1 – Any student who knows almost nothing about China is to stand by the drinking fountain. Group 2 – Any student who know about 5 things about China and can tell the class about the 5 things. You are to stand by Mr. Mitchell’s desk. Group 3 – Any student who can tell the class about 10 things about China. You are to stand in the front of the room and be ready to talk about what you know about China.

Objective of the Lesson I want the students to be able to go home and without notes tell their families about China. I want them to tell them 2 things about the physical attributes of China and 3 things that are interesting about China. State objective: Understand the human and physical characteristics of China

What vocabulary should you learn about China? Superlatives – Words used to talk about China (such as biggest, tallest, longest, hottest, coldest, oldest) Arable – The ability to grow a crop on.
