End of the Year Speeches You have two opportunities to have a voice. The Celebration of Learning Promotion Ceremony

Celebration of Learning Form: Informal 3-4 minute speech - single-spaced, typed page should take 3 to 4 minutes to read through at the correct pace. Audience: Team 8B students, teachers, a few administrators and parents. Focus on your team!! This is about you and what has happened this year as a team. Topic: This is for the Celebration of Learning Assembly for our team. It should include memorable team activities, classroom lessons, projects, assignments and/or activities, and events that stand out to you from this year. This is a celebration of THIS year. Include things that you believe will connect to your audience and that they will remember. Focus on a main idea and then support it and explain it with things from this year. Purpose: To entertain a live audience! Planning: Due date to be considered Tues 5/7

Promotion Ceremony Form: Formal 3-4 minute speech - single-spaced, typed page should take 3 to 4 minutes to read through at the correct pace. Audience: In a promotion speech, you are addressing your fellow classmates. However, parents, grandparents, teachers and administrators will also be present. Topic: This is for the Promotion Ceremony for our team. It should include a specific theme/message for the group – you must congratulate your classmates and look to thefuture. Be positive and inspirational and leave your audience feeling excited for the future and reflective of the past. Purpose: To reflect on your past school experiences and inspire the audience! Planning: Due date to be considered Thurs 5/9
