Jennifer will review Julie’s class revenue analysis and pull together historical trends with data from Kim over the past few years. 2018 Invoices have been created and sent out. Rebates - All seven companies opted to leave funds with HPEC: $2,500 Banking update: The Bank of America account was closed out and funds were transferred to Selco. Board approved adding Jennifer as a credit card holder. Will remove Julie once the account is active. Will add Dale Gehring as an account signer. Board approved moving funds from the Money Market Plus to Money Market Max account to take advantage of a higher interest rate. Old Business: New Executive Director started 1/16/18, Julie retired 1/15/18 See attached class revenue analysis. Overall 2015-2017 we have generated positive revenue from classes. VP of Finance: with Steve’s departure, Dale Gehring has accepted the role of VP of Finance in the interim. One Pager Doc Update: Not sure of the status. Jennifer will follow up. Venues: Julie secured the Columbia Edgewater Golf Course for the five “Lean & Human Element” courses. Currently scheduled for the 2nd Wednesdays of the month Aug-Dec. Jennifer is meeting with the VT event group to see what they have to offer on 1/30. Parking may be an issue, as many of their venues will required paid parking. Event Updates (Jennifer): Classes Held were fairly well attended and rated 8-10 with only a few 7’s. Strategy Deployment – Graphical Representation (Simmons, Nov 15th) Kata Practitioner Day @ Biamp (Nov 16th) VSM @ Biamp (Penca, Nov 28 & 29) LHE Graduates Session (Miller/Penca, Dec 6) Strategy Deployment STP (Simmons, Dec 13) ~ 8 attendees, - revenue VSM @ Phoseon (Penca, Jan 24-25) No upcoming classes scheduled. Exec Leadership Session: Schedule Col Arthur Athens in 2018. Topic TBD until further evaluation. Will see if he will entertain the idea of holding a “champions club” type session immediately following the presentation to give executives a more intimate setting for questions. Jennifer will reach out to past attendees identified by Julie to see if this would interest them. He would like to continue to learn more about us. The next step will be writing a letter of interest to the board, then we can schedule a lunch with him. Our 2nd potential candidate has backed out due to other obligations. Jennifer’s Goals Understanding the financials (current situation, trends, recommendations for due structure with Dale) Connecting with members (current state, gaps) Setting up the foundational systems & processes (security, back up, transactional process familiarity, bylaws, etc) Tagline Looking for a one liner to describe who we are as the opening line when starting conversations. Will tie to our vision and why we are here. Julie and Alex will send some thoughts/recommendations. Organizational documentation: Update Secretary of State documentation to include Alex & Dale.
