HIHEREI Human Interaction within Hybrid Environments Regulated through EI A platform for hybrid experiments A Study Case: Dynamic Auctions It allows remote access of human users to electronic institutions providing flexible and standard client applications for this access. Study the effect of reputation information in competitive online auctions. Client Side Using Islander, the appropriate electronic institution was designed. Human users use a standard web browser to remotely participate in the experiments. The web application is a friendly-user interface of the eI environment. Experiment settings and virtual agent strategies can be completely specified in XML format. Servlet & I-Agent I-Agents act both as a servlet and E-Agents. They are the link between humans and the eI. The web interface was designed imitating the look and field of markplatz or eBay Electronic Institution Database It defines the shared space and the interaction protocols for the experiments. Virtual agents (E-Agents) and human agents (represented as I-Agent) interact in such environment. Human actions and events in the eI are stored in a database for a posterior analysis
