Who in the world is Eric Carle anyway? WebQuest: Introduction Quest(ion)/Task Process Assessment Conclusion WebQuest: Who in the world is Eric Carle anyway? By Mrs Killin

Introduction – Detectives Wanted Dear Reader, Your help is required to undertake a very important mission. It has just been reported that the formidable Eric Carle has trekked to the top of a hill, fell down, broken his crown and now…he seems to have lost his memory! The doctors say he is going to be ok, but the children’s picture book world cannot afford for Mr Carle to lose his memory forever. Go Back

The Task Ok. So you agree to help. Excellent. Let’s begin. I need you to investigate the life of Eric Carle. Record everything that you find out in your journal. When you have completed your journal, it will be placed in the very important ‘memory box’ and given to Mr Carle so that he can get his memory back.

The Process You will be working in pairs or triads to investigate the questions in your journal by visiting the web sites linked to the pictures. Read the information, watch the videos and look at the books. When you find information that answers a question in your journal, complete that journal entry using complete sentences Write using entries and exits.
