Sub-Committee F43.01 on Language Interpreting Interagency Language Roundtable The Foreign Service Institute George P. Shultz National Foreign Affairs Training Center September 30, 2011 Carola E. Green National Center for State Courts Coordinator of Court Interpreting Testing Services & Operations Hello, I am Carola E. Green and have recently taken on the role of chair of the F43.01 sub-committee; David B. Sawyer stepped down in June 2011;

40 + members F43.01 Membership User General Interest Producer Technical Committees are balanced. No excess influence by any interest group. We have over 40 members within the subcommittee following the ASTM classifications.

F43.01 Working group activities The working groups have scheduled meetings and initiated the process of collecting feedback. The feedback will then be drafted into an online survey (SurveyMonkey tool) and made available to the membership.

Active standards under the jurisdiction of F43.01 Revision of F2089 - 01(2007) Standard Guide for Language Interpretation Services Technical contact Teresa Salazar Group has met (July 2011) and has provided the initial round of comment and feedback that will be used to draft the survey.

Proposed new standards under the jurisdiction of F43.01 WK34140 New Guide for Language Service Providers for Interpreting Technical contact Victor Hertz Group has scheduled a meeting? To provide the initial round of comment and feedback that will be used to draft the survey.

Proposed new standards under the jurisdiction of F43.01 WK34153 New Guide for Interpreter working group for F2089 Technical contact Marjory Bancroft Group has met (July 2011) and has provided the initial round of comment and feedback that will be used to draft the survey.
