Genome Science Theme Seminar College of Medicine, Biological Sciences and Psychology Genome Science Theme Seminar Wednesday 7th October 2015: 2.00 – 3.00pm Frank and Katherine May Lecture Theatre, Henry Wellcome Building Professor Judith Mank Chair of Evolutionary and Comparative Biology, University College London Professor Mank is interested in understanding how selection produces variation in form, behaviour and reproductive patterns. Using a variety of animals, her research group takes advantage of convergence, artificial selection and sexual selection to study the genotype-phenotype relationship. The group integrate data from genomes, transcriptomes and organisms to study the ways that selection navigates the restrictions imposed by evolutionary constraints and conflicts to create phenotypic diversity. “The evolution of sexual dimorphism: linking intra-sexual phenotypic and transcriptional variation across the genome” All welcome
