A New Computer By: Rob Dewing

Dude, “Your Getting a Dell!” Recently, my sister and her husband purchased a new Dell Computer for personal use Before the purchase, they considered many options Those options were: Budget, PC vs. MAC, Upgrades, Hardware and DSL vs. Dial Up

The Budget They decided that for their budget they would spend no more then $1000.00

PC vs. MAC The PC is industry standard They felt it would be best to go with the purchase of a PC rather a MAC

Upgrades Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Purchase of a printer, scanner and copier all in one

Hardware Processor Intel Celeron Memory 512 MB Hard Drive SATA DVD ROM only Drive Keyboard Mouse Sound Card Graphics Card Network Card Monitor 17" Speakers, Stereo

DSL vs. Dial-Up They went with a DSL to connect to the internet It won’t tie up their phone line like dial up and having DSL will allow them a much faster connection

How The Purchase Was Completed They used a credit card They used a credit card that gives them frequent flier miles This purchase provided them with a new computer but also they were rewarded miles

Under Budget or Over Budget The Computer cost them a total of $799.00 This put them under budget with $201.00 to save for a new digital camera
