The clip serves two purposes: to firmly attach the part to the rack, and to provide sufficient contact for the electrical current in the chrome plating process. Kyle van Veen, Jake VandeKieft, Steven Tarske, and Trevor Nyeholt Design Objective The objective of the team is to create innovative designs to increase the grip strength and cycle life of several clip designs. This will decrease the overall scrap rate experienced, which will conserve resources and boost revenue. Alternative design ideas will include the use of springs and fatigue resistant stainless steel.
