Please answer these questions in your notebook, then turn in your Cell Organelle Flip Book: 1.) I am a small particle of RNA and protein that produces protein based on the code contained in the DNA. What am I? 2.) I am filled with enzymes used to break down food into particles. I can also get rid of old organelles and kill bacteria. What am I? 3.) FRQ #3 You are a forensic scientist and have found a sample of cells at a crime scene. What criteria might you use to determine if the cells are from prokaryotes, plants, or animals? Examine the cells under a microscope. If they lack a nucleus and other membrane-bound organelles, they are prokaryotic; if they contain a nucleus and other membrane-bound organelles, they are eukaryotic. A eukaryotic cell with a cell wall, central vacuole, and chloroplasts would be a plant cell. A eukaryotic cell without those three components would indicate that it is an animal cell.
