How it Works Test stand is biaxial loader - pulls each side of the test specimen equally in both the x and y directions Rod placed at a critical angle of 45 degrees for equal pulling in all direction The apparatus uses linear ball bearings on the vertical and horizontal slide rods and needle bearings at all joints – minimizes friction The motor turns a set of gears underneath the back plate, which will turn a set of opposite threaded lead screws threaded through the upper plate causing the loader to move up and down (depending on the rotation of the motor) The design is compact because we are only looking to pull the specimen about an inch in all directions. Needs work P09045: Membrane Characterization Test Stand P09045: Membrane Characterization Test Stand 1/16/2019 5
