Lesson 6 Vocabulary Set A

anonymous (adj) unnamed, without the name of the person involved (writer, composer, etc.); unknown; lacking individually The detective received an anonymous tip that helped to narrow the search for the thief.

dupe (n) a person easily tricked or deceived (v) to deceive He played the dupe in one of Shakespeare’s comedies. The villain in the play tried to dupe the hero out of his money.
