British Sign Language

What is British Sign Language? Sign Language is a visual means of communicating using gestures, facial expression, and body language. It is sign language consisting of words from the British language. Examples of sign language:

Who uses it? British sign language is used by people who are deaf or have hearing impairments. It is a way which people use to communicate through gestures when they are unable to use words. People who aren’t deaf can learn this to communicate with those who are.

Advantages Disadvantages People who have hearing impairments can communicate. You can learn it. Gives people who have hearing impairments more confidence. People who are deaf can communicate with people who aren’t. Takes time to learn. You have to have knowledge of the English language. You could make a mistake in the gesture you use. You cant spot errors. You can only explain things to a certain extent.
