Indigenous people’s day resolution ASNMU President: Tristan Ruiz Chair of Assembly: Jeulani Gahiji

Background WINTER 2016: ASNMU was approached by the Native American Student Association, the American Indian Science and Engineering Society, and the Native American Language and Culture Club to help bring Indigenous People’s Day to the NMU campus. Presented on 3/16/2016 and adopted on 3/23/2016 by ASNMU General Assembly

ASNMU’s Decision November 2016- Debate resulted in accepting one of the proposed amendments from the Academic Senate and rejecting the other two.
