What is a Myth? a traditional or legendary story, usually concerning some being or hero or event, with or without a determinable basis of fact or a natural explanation, especially one that is concerned with deities or demigods and explains some practice, rite, or phenomenon of nature.

What is Realistic Fiction? a genre consisting of stories that could have actually occurred to people or animals in a believable setting. These stories resemble real life, and fictional characters within these stories react similarly to real people.

“The Labyrinth” On your own paper answer the following questions: What does King Minos do each year? Why does he do it? Why does Theseus volunteer to enter the labyrinth? How does Theseus survive the labyrinth? Using context clues, what do you think steeled means in paragraph 4?
