Responsible Localities What did it set out to achieve?

What’s new and why? Rapid Response Teams Integrated Locality Teams Countywide Reviews Safeguarding Service Improvement Mrs Smith – many of you know this already….

What’s new and why? Local connections Integrated teams Focus on outcomes Mainstreaming Learning Disability Services Enabling digital and agile Mrs Smith

What did we want to achieve? Locality based working putting the individual and the community at the centre Self service More efficient use of resources Local delivery alongside partners and communities Change in culture from “we will fix it for you” to “we will help you fix it for yourself” alongside with local communities, Police, Fire Service, GP’s providers, voluntary sector and other statutory partners to engage, support and develop local communities

We’ve many successes to build on Nationally high performing 6th best rated authority on the national outcome framework for social care High level of satisfaction from people who use services - 90% of service users reasonably, extremely or very satisfied   Nationally in the last 12 months social care delays rose by 32% while in Oxfordshire they fell by 36% 30% increase in safeguarding enquiries; 60% increase in investigations but still done in a timely manner 75% triage in 2 days 75% concluded in 20 working days We have lots of great work to build on. Our starting point is good but we can get better

What’s next? Engage and reshape work with Districts (housing), police, GPs and develop new relationships with partners and communities Beginning to work more closely with care homes and home care and third sector providers to meet communities’ needs Digital Platform - Significant opportunity to share data and develop a rich information source to support the community and target intervention incl. prevention Continuous improvement Integrated leadership development programme to improve services locally To role out agile and technology further – more efficient ways of working Office 365/Agile
