Library Explorer’s Passport Activities While this presentation is not as interactive as the Promethean flipchart, there are some animations to spice it up, and students can “vote” by holding up 1-5 fingers instead of using expensive learner response systems like ActiVotes. Stamp #1

Destiny Online Catalog Turn on your laptop and log in. While you wait, write your name and classroom teacher’s name on your passport. Open a web browser to get to the Internet. Click on 1 of these… Laptop/computer directions: Students can have their own or share (no more than 2 students per computer is best). Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Safari are all registered trademarks to their respective parent companies.

Destiny Online Catalog Get a tablet or use your own mobile device, and lay it flat on the table. Write your name and classroom teacher’s name on your passport. Use your finger to tap on the Destiny Quest library catalog app. Tablet directions – The Destiny Quest app is available if your Destiny system is upgraded to 10.0 or higher and have Destiny Quest as the default view for search. For students who are downloading the app to their own device, when prompted, they should type in your district library catalog’s URL web address (i.e. http://library.wilsonsd.org for my school district).

Destiny Online Catalog If you’d like, you can add directions on how to get to your school’s online catalog (or whatever online catalog your school uses) from the web browser, or include a screenshot of your school’s library catalog.

Every 4-5 years, you will probably want to re-evaluate your author list and whether the authors’ books are still circulating. K R Y F L S Z
