Figure 1 Evolutionary Process of Metastatic and Locoregional Relapsed Breast Cancer Metastases diverge at a late point in the primary tumor development. Synchronous lymph-node metastases are more closely related to the primary tumor, compared to metachronous metastases. Additional driver mutations appeared to be acquired after dissemination.
