Changes in ELA ONE 40-minute period only Students prepare for high school by developing their writing skills and reading skills. Students become more enriched critical thinkers as we engage with complex, universal questions in the literature we read.

LITERATURE Poetry Inside Out & Back Again A Midsummer Night’s Dream Novels To Kill a Mockingbird Memoirs Diary of Anne Frank Unbroken: A WWII Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption

Expectations Your child is expected to be seated in their assigned seat by the bell; arrive to class on time with all of the necessary materials; respect him/herself, his/her classmates, and his/her environment; and come to class ready to give 100% effort, 100% of the time.

Necessary Materials Students are expected to come to class with: their copy of the class text a binder specifically used for ELA college-ruled loose leaf paper a working pen/pencil Once chromebooks are in use, your child will be expected to come to class with their chromebook sufficiently charged and functioning.
