The Other Amendments

The Civil War Amendments 13th (1865) – Abolished Slavery 14th (1868) – Granted citizenship to all people born in the US; banned states from denying life, liberty, or property without due process; equal protection under the law. 15th (1870) – Can’t deny right to vote based on race

Voting Amendments 15th 17th – Direct voting of senators 19th – Right to vote for women 23rd – Voters in DC get the right to vote for POTUS 24th – Eliminated poll tax to vote 26th – Lowers voting age to 18

Presidential Amendments 12th – Electors vote for president and vice president separately 20th – Shortened the time between election of president and inauguration 22nd – Limit of 2 presidential terms 25th – Presidential succession

All others 11th – The government is not immune to lawsuits brought by citizens 16th – Income Tax 18th – Prohibition of alcohol 21st – Repeal of the 18th 27th – Any pay raises for Congress will not go into effect until the next legislative session.
