6th October 2013: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Gospel: Luke Ch. 17: 5 - 10

Faith / A servant duty

Two important points: a) teaching of faith / trust b) a parable on humble service

a) Faith in whom? In Jesus, in the Gospel, in prayer.

Many people have lost faith in Jesus, they think they don’t need Him; they are capable to live without Him. They have lost their faith.

…When you have done all you have been commanded, say ‘We are unprofitable servants; we have done what we were obliged to do.’

We can do nothing without God’s help. We depend on God.

When we do something good, it is because God helps us and we must be humble enough to admit it.

Our success is God’s help; without Him we can do nothing.

Faith in Jesus and humility go together. Less I and more He, Jesus.
