University of Bristol evaluation looked at 6 month period: DCP (yellow) users more at home / less in hospital than non DCP (orange) This reflected in impact on all deaths. Evaluation did analysis to control for patient groups – i.e. age & diagnosis – to check that DCP wasn’t attracting a type of patients inherently prone to home death.
