Agenda Brain Pop! Discovery Education Video and Viewing guide We are going to be doing an extremely fun activity. This is a treat for you, so I expect the class to be on their very best behavior. Alternate activity: Read Pages PC101-C115. Write and answer ALL of the questions in the two chapters.

Brain Pop & Vocabulary Foldable Brain Pop: http://www.brainpop.com/science/cellularlifeand genetics/dna/ Vocabulary Foldable: DNA Replication Chromosome Gene +Please include a picture, definition, and one additional fact for each of the above vocab words

Today’s Activity is called, “Have your DNA and eat it too.”

First we need to remind ourselves… A matches with T OR Adenine with Thymine And…. C matches with G or Cytosine with Guanine. Let’s do some fast facts practice!!!!

“Have you DNA & Eat it TOO!” You will be using Twizzlers, Paper Clips, Colored Marshmallows, and Toothpicks to create a model of DNA. Please use some sense. Let’s set the expectations.

Exit Ticket… 3-2-1 about DNA so far… 3 Things you have learned 2 Things you are still confused about 1 Thing you still want to know
