A group of scientists placed 5 monkeys in a cage and in the middle, a ladder with bananas on the top. يک گروه از دانشمندان پنج ميمون را در قفسی گذاشتند و در وسط قفس يک نردبان که بالای آن مقداری موز گذاشته شده بود قرار دادند

Every time a monkey went up the ladder, the scientists soaked the rest of the monkeys with cold water. هربار که ميمونی از نردبان بالا رفت، دانشمندان ميمون های ديگر را با دوش آب سرد خيس کردند.

After a while, every time a monkey went up the ladder, the others beat up the one on the ladder. پس از مدتی، هر ميمون که از نردبان بالا رفت ميمون های ديگر ميمونی را که از نردبان بالا رفته بود را کتک زدند.

After some time, no monkey dare to go up the ladder regardless of the temptation. پس از مدتی، هيچ ميمونی ديگر جرات اينکه از نردبان بالا رود را نداشت، گرچه وسوسه او بسيار عميق بود.

Immediately the other monkeys beat him up. دانشمندان تصميم ميگيرند يکی از ميمون ها را با ميمون جديدی عوض کنند. ميمون تازه اولين کاری که می کند برای بدست آوردن موز از نردبان بالا می رود. ولی ميمون ها ديگر او را محکم کتک می زنند After several beatings, the new member learned not to climb the ladder even though never knew why. پس از چند بار کتک خوردن، ميمون تازه وارد فرا می گيرد که نبايستی از نردبام بالا برود، اما هرگز نميداند چرا.

A 2nd monkey was substituted and the same occurred A 2nd monkey was substituted and the same occurred. The 1st monkey participated on the beating for the 2nd monkey. A 3rd monkey was changed and the same was repeated (beating). The 4th was substituted and the beating was repeated and finally the 5th monkey was replaced. ميمون دوم جايگزين می شود و همان وضع ادامه می يابد. ميمون اول هم در کتک زدن ميمون دوم همکاری می کند. ميمون سوم جايگزين می شود و همان وضع کتک زدن ادامه ميابد. ميمون چهارم جايگزين می شود و همچنان کتک زدن هر ميمونی که از نردبان بالا می رود ادامه دارد. ميمون پنجم هم جايگزين می شود و کتک زدن و کتک خوردن همچنان ادامی ميابد.

What was left was a group of 5 monkeys that even though never received a cold shower, continued to beat up any monkey who attempted to climb the ladder. حالا آنچه مانده ميمون های جديدی هستند که حتا هيچکدامشان دوش آب سرد را هرگز تجربه نکرده اند، ولی همچنان هر ميمونی که از نردبان بالا می رود را کتک می زنند.

آيا اين بنظر شما مانوس و خودمانی نيست؟؟ If it was possible to ask the monkeys why they would beat up all those who attempted to go up the ladder….. I bet you the answer would be…. “I don’t know – that’s how things are done around here” Does it sounds familiar? اگر ممکن بود از ميمون ها پرسش شود چرا آنانی را که از نردبان بالا ميروند را کتک می زنند، مطمئن باشيد جواب می توانست اين باشد... ”من نميدانم – اين روش کاری است که در اينجا مرسوم است“ آيا اين بنظر شما مانوس و خودمانی نيست؟؟
