CH3 European Exploration

European Exploration NOTES Europeans began to explore. They wanted to establish trade routes to Asia. The Europeans tried to avoid Muslim-ruled areas between Europe and Asia. This led to the Europeans to look for fast and easy water routes.

European Exploration NOTES 2 1492, Christopher Columbus sailed the ocean blue, believing the world was round, to find a new route to Asia. He failed. But he “found” the “New World.” He thought he was in India, in Asia, and called the people he met “Indians.”
