We support the use of European griddata We support the use of European griddata and will continue to deliver night and day time population on 1x1 km grid for public presentation and analysis. We are member of the European Grid Club www.gridclub.ssb.no We have several years of expericence in delivering social statistics on household level. Social statistics - reflections It’s not so complicated to handle data protection and confidentiality issues in reference to Social statistics with demographic data about persons, families and households. We have used households as our primary unit and deliver data on clusters with a minimum of 20 households. Focus today is on how to create miniclusters with a minimum of 5 household to be used as building blocks in order for us to optimize clusters by the use of registerdata. Business statistics - reflections It’s more complicated with dataprotection and confidentiality issues in reference to the use of Business statistics using workplaces as unit. In Denmark values must be suppressed if they are based on fewer than three dataunits. And in top of that we don’t release data if a company or workplace is a dominating unit. Free access to griddata – webdata, website with viewing facilites and download access to griddata is essential even when you have to pay later for value added services.
