Work Values Explained

Accomplishment Have to feel like what you do is important You make a difference What are some careers where you would feel that way?

Income You need a job where you make more than enough money to live comfortably and buy the things you want and need.

Innovation You need to be able to be creative and have the freedom to come up with new ideas or a new way of doing things. You need to be able to work independently. You need variety in your work – not the same thing day after day

Prestige You need to be highly regarded by others. You need to be in a leadership position at work. Other people need to look up to you (maybe even envy you)

Workplace Must be comfortable Must have an attractive work place Need to have co-workers and supervisors that are nice and support your work
