Its Existence -A Joint service initiative to promote civilian credentialing opportunities started in 2002. - In 2006, the Army and Navy entered into an agreement to allow for collaboration on COOL for Soldiers and Sailors.

Four Step Process Step 1: Find & Select Related Credentials Step 2: Complete Voucher for Exam or Maintenance Fee Funding and Apply Step 3: Get Credential Step 4: Report Results to Navy COOL

Be selfish when you can…. Can contribute to military career development Local law may require specific credentials to legally perform some jobs Better assist you with getting hired Better promotions once hired Bridge the gap between you and your civilian cohort
