Few Principles applied in the 3 phases Trilingual website providing statistical information free or on charge produced by Eurostat. Compliant with Europa recommendations Access to information and products from external sources Content with dedicated sections State of art Oracle portal technology Content feeding with automatic procedures All types of contents with metada attributes Advanced search facilities for publications and datasets -

Phase 1 :DDIS The phase 1 (DDIS) based on Oracle portal technology was completed by the end of March. A prototype has been delivered for testing and will be finally installed in its production environment in the Data Centre from the European Commission in early May 2004

Phase 2: FE content migration -The work on phase 2 (FE) started in early January 2004 . Migration rules have been agreed . They will be translated in pages and migration script which will be used to feed the portal mentioned in phase 1. Work will be completed by the end of April 2004.

Phase 3:Core functionalities The work on phase 3 (CF) started in January 2004 Five tasks (administration functionalities, access functionalities , content management functionalities , users management functionalities and upload and workflow functionalities) .All tasks run in parallel. Phase 3 will be completed in June 2004.
