The Med-Chi Lectures “Not the Illness Village” ABERDEEN MEDICO-CHIRURGICAL SOCIETY Founded 1789 Fellowship │ Education │ Heritage Thursday 4th October 2018 – 7pm The Med-Chi Hall “Not the Illness Village” Med-Chi Hall Aberdeen Medico-Chirurgical Society The Med-Chi Hall, Foresterhill at 7pm Aberdeen City Health Village is the newest health facility in Aberdeen. This lecture will cover the history behind its inception, current and future service provision and opportunities for future development. Sandy Reid has been manager of the Aberdeen Community Health and Care Village since 2010 and also is currently manager of the Len Ironside Centre and the new Foresterhill Health Centre. Sandy began his career in health service management in 1989 in London, and since moving back to Grampian in 1991 has held a variety of management posts largely within community and older adult services .
