Use this PPT to practice thinking about numbers to 10. Do the first 3 numbers, then give students a sheet for independent practice. This ppt should last for several weeks this way.

The practice sheets: Colour and explain ways to show 7. 4 + 3 = 7 3 + 4 = 7 7 = 3 + 4 The practice sheets are split into sets for each number from 6 to 10. Check your resource package.

This is a ten frame. What is the frame? Where is the ten? (you can count by 2s)

You can count by fives

Explain without counting by ones. How many are coloured? Explain without counting by ones. Have students come to the board and circle. 3 + 3, 4 + 2 do you see 5 + 1. If it is 6 they are all in it.
