Learning Aims: Understand the importance of modelling and prototyping prior to manufacture. Develop skills in being able to model using blue foam one of your developed design ideas. Understand finishes which can be applied to blue foam.

This is an excellent material for modelling as you can sculpt designs using general equipment such as files and sand paper You will all be provided with a toothbrush to model with and it is up to you how you complete this. Do you model around it? Cut it to fit into your modelled handle? TODAY YOU WILL BE CONTINUING YOUR MODELLING

But there are IMPORTANT RULES Blue foam requires a BASE COAT The base coat will be produced using acrylic paint, once dry it needs to be sanded off.
