Presentation transcript:

Before you start… Preview assignments What kind of time and materials to these assignments require? Schedule homework like you schedule practice, rehearsal, and other appointments

How do I begin? Prioritize! Make a to-do list of everything you need to do. Organize assignments By grade impact… By difficulty… By speed… By due date…

By grade impact… What is worth the most points? What class needs a grade boost? What is for completion and what is for content? Get these out of the way. If you run low on time, you’ve done the important things first.

By difficulty… What are you dreading most? What will take the most time? What is the most complicated? Get these things out of the way. Use your brain while it’s still fresh

By speed… What will let you check things off the to-do list? What is easy and painless? What can you do if you have short intervals to work? Get these out of the way. Feel accomplished with the progress you are making!

By due date… What needs to get done now? What components of big projects should I do now? What other events will come up that will keep you from this work? Get these out of the way. Keep yourself from getting overloaded!
