ICS 6D: Test Instructions No electronics allowed: Laptops and tables must be closed and covered. Phones must be stowed so that they are not visible. Come to the front of the class to pick up a test Sit in the seat with the row and seat number written on your test. Sitting in a different seat other than the seat indicated on your test is a violation of the UCI/ICS Academic Honesty Policy You can write your name and your student ID on the front of your exam before the exam starts.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise in the problem, the answer to any counting or probability question on this exam can be left in the form of an arithmetic expression, including “n choose k” or P(n, k) notation. A counting question asks “how many”. A probability question asks you to give the probability of a particular event.
