The Story of the Pencil Maker

There are 5 things you will need to know before I send you out into the world”

1. You will be able to do many great things, but only if you allow yourself to be held and guided by someone else’s hand.

2. You will experience a painful sharpening from time to time, but you’ll need it to become a better pencil.

3. You will be able to correct any mistakes you might make.

4. The most important part of you will be on the inside.

5. On every surface you are used on, you must leave your mark 5. On every surface you are used on, you must leave your mark. No matter what the condition, you must continue to write.

Let Us Be the Pencil A Self-Examination

1. You will be able to do many great things, but only if you allow yourself to be held and guided by someone else’s hand.

What Does This Mean to You? Are you allowing God to use and guide you? Is God calling you to do something? Are you listening? Are you “Connecting” with like-minded women? Are you approachable? As you age, are you more open or closed with your opinions, and actions? Are you more closed to being guided or held by someone else?

2. You will experience a painful sharpening from time to time but you’ll need it to become a better pencil.

When have you gone through a “sharpening”. Did it make you stronger When have you gone through a “sharpening”? Did it make you stronger? What lessons did you learn? How can you help someone through this process?

3. You will be able to correct any mistakes you might make.

How have you corrected any mistakes you have made How have you corrected any mistakes you have made? Is there something you still want to correct? What is holding you back? What is the biggest eraser of all? (hint: it is a sacrament.)

4. The most important part of you will be on the inside.

What does your spiritual soul look like? You have an endless supply of lead…..life never dies, just changes. Are you proud of the person you are today? Do you need to forgive someone? How can you become closer to God?

5. On every surface you are used on, you must leave your mark 5. On every surface you are used on, you must leave your mark. No matter what the condition, you must continue to write.

Leaving Your Mark How have you left your mark? Have you stopped writing? How have your actions affected others around you? Are you allowing someone else's actions to affect you? Why?

Never Forget……..
