Classroom Policies and Procedures

Listen to instructions. Enter and Exit Prepared. Always try your best. Respect yourself and others. No excuses!

Classroom Expectations and Rules: RESPECTFUL Treat others the way we wish to be treated. Are friendly to others. Are trustworthy at all times. Use acceptable language at all times.

Classroom Expectations and Rules: RESPONSIBLE *Are cooperative in class and hallways. *Are prepared for class and activities. *Completes assigned tasks on time. *Accepts the consequences of their actions. *Comes to the aid of one in need.

STUDENTS WILL: KEEP NEGATIVE COMMENTS TO THEMSELVES. KEEP ALL BODY PARTS TO THEMSELVES. USE SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR THEIR INTENDED PURPOSE. REFRAIN FROM DISRUPTING CLASS. STAY IN THEIR ASSIGNED SEATS. BE POLITE TO THOSE AROUND THEM. PICK UP AFTER THEMSELVES. PARTICIPATE APPROPRIATELY. ARRIVE ON TIME AND PREPARED. USE APPROPRIATE LANGUAGE.

LESSON AND HOMEWORK PACKETS Students will receive 1 lesson and 1 homework packet per lesson. The lesson packet is due at the end of each lesson for a grade. It must be completed and corrected and in regular blue/black ink or regular pencil. Homework packets will be collected and graded as needed. Students should expect homework 2-3 times per week.

LESSON AND HOMEWORK PACKETS If a student loses his/her copy, he/she will be required to print it from the teacher’s weebly website in order to complete and receive credit. A second copy will NOT be provided by the teacher.

Attendance!!!! This class will follow the attendance procedure outlined in the student handbook. It is the responsibility of the student to contact the teacher the first day back from being absent. Be in class when the class starts. Any student not in their seat at the beginning of class may be marked Tardy.

Tardies As per school policy, only passes from the Principal, Associate Principals, or Dean of Students will be accepted and must have their signature. Teacher passes will also be accepted on a case by case basis.

Test/Quiz Make-up: Test/Quiz make-up day is Thursday after school. This is the only time allotted for this purpose. If the student fails to make up a test or quiz, a zero will be placed in the grade book. The test will start exactly 10 minutes after the dismissal bell. Any student not in class on time will forfeit this opportunity. Students have 1 week to make-up tests/quizzes.

Homework: Homework is due as the student enters the classroom. Any homework not turned in at the beginning of class will receive a zero. Any assignment not fully completed will receive a zero. Messy homework will receive a zero.

Homework: Any homework without a name clearly written on it will receive a zero.(The item will be tossed out.) Any homework not written in regular blue or black pen or normal colored pencil will receive a zero. Any copied homework or homework done in class at inappropriate times will receive a zero.

Homework: Homework must be turned in at the back of the classroom in the correct hour wooden slot in order to receive credit. Homework turned in late must have a late slip attached or it will not be graded.

PURSES Purses may NOT be on your desk or on your lap.     Purses must remain under the student’s desk at all times or will no longer be allowed in class. Purses may NOT be on your desk or on your lap. If this is a problem, then leave it in your locker.

Large Purses, BookBags and Backpacks Female Students are permitted to carry a small purse for feminine hygiene products. Large Purses, Book Bags, Backpacks or other Bags are not permitted in this classroom. If a student enters the class with these items, he/she will take a tardy and will take them to his/her locker.

Materials Needed Daily Textbook 3 ring binder (homework packets, lesson packets) Homework Pencil/Pen Flashcards (approx. 3000) Student Use Kleenex

KEEP IT CLEAN!!!!!! And the teacher said, “Thou shall clean up after thyself for this is not thy house!”

NO GUM IN CLASS!

NO FOOD IN CLASS!

NO DRINKS IN CLASS! EXCEPT CLEAR WATER BOTTLES WITH CLEAR WATER!

BLUE OR BLACK PEN ONLY! PENCIL OK TOO!
