Rehabilitation sustentable of cangahua soils in Ecuador Objectives Generation of a map of surface cangahuas located at depths of 0 to 60 cm, in Ecuador, at 1:25 000 scale, using remote sensing which identifies cangahua covered by soil or ash (cangahua in depth) and cangahua exposed on the surface at 0 cm deep (cangahua outcrop) and the generation of a map of surface cangahuas located at depths of 0 to 60 cm, in Ecuador, at 1:25 000 scale, which identifies cangahua covered by soil or ash (cangahua in depth) and cangahua exposed on the surface at 0 cm deep (cangahua outcrop). Break with machinery the areas with cangahua that are located in: slopes of up to 35%, altitudes up to 3300 meters above sea level, water access. Rehabilitate these areas through a rehabilitation plan that incorporates: organic matter, microorganisms, green fertilizers and plant cover.

Digital Soil Mapping Soil organic carbon The organic carbon map of Ecuador's soil, as a result of the FAO Regional Soil Mapping Training Cooperation project in the framework of the Regional Soil Alliance, indicated that the Soil Organic Carbon Map (GSOCmap) was to quantify the carbon capture within the soil, which allows to avoid the emission of the main greenhouse gases such as methane (CH4) and carbon dioxide (CO2). This input represents the content of organic carbon or stock at 30 centimeters of soil depth in recent years and allows a detailed monitoring of organic carbon content. It provides users with very useful information to monitor soil conditions, identify degraded areas, establish restoration objectives, explore SOC sequestration potentials, support greenhouse gas emissions reporting
