Strategy Leads to trench warfare Old fighting style – 1800’s – not suitable to modern battlefield. Creates stalemate Leads to trench warfare

Trench Warfare Soldiers are forced to hide in trenches on the battlefield. New weapons made the battlefield incredibly deadly.
