Characteristics of a Tall tale: The story has many exaggerations in it. The main character has a problem to solve. The main character is bigger than life and has super human abilities. In the end, the main character solves a problem, overcomes an obstacle or defeats a bad guy. The story includes lots of action.

Let’s answer! 1.- What is a fathom? How do you know? Three (3) fathoms is equal to 18 feet. So a fathom must be a measurement that equals 6 feet. As simple as: 18 divided by 3 is 6. 2.- In what ways is Stormy like a real baby? How is he unusual? He cries, he crawls, he drinks milk. He is unusual because he is a lot bigger than a normal baby.
