ISO 14001- A specification standard that cites requirements for implementing and maintaining EMS. Organizations become registered to this standard. ISO 14004- Guidance document
Links between ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 Both are voluntary standards. Both are management standards- do not establish required performance levels. Both are designed for internal use- registration requires a third-party audit. Both are generic in nature so that they can be applied across the board to organizations of all types and sizes.
