Moon A natural satellite that orbits a planet; some planets have no moons; others have over 60 moons.

Craters Bowl-shaped indents or cavities on the surface of a planet, moon, or asteroid that are caused by a collision with another object, such as a meteorite.

Sun The star at the center of our solar system that supplies heat and light to Earth; its enormous gravity keeps the solar system in orbit.

The heaviness of an object; force of gravity on mass=weight

Revolution Making a complete turn around another object.

Satellite An object that revolves around a larger object in space.

Tide The rise and fall of the water in the ocean.

Moon Phases What the moon looks like at different times of the month.

Model A representation of something found in real life.

Planet A round body in space made of rocks and gases.

Galaxy A large group of stars. Our galaxy is the Milky Way with billions of stars; spiral shape.
