Set up the online auction system Contact Bob Evans at edit@purdue.edu Send him: department, department banner, IP address of each person who needs access, administer’s name and email address, and if you want it a public list for all of campus to see Allow a week for it to be set up Payment options include ONLY cash or check

Determine what type of items you want in the auction Gift baskets Gift cards Craft items- paintings, crocheted items, photography Services- horseback riding lessons, dance lessons 4. Determine the logistics Where are the items going to stored? Are they visible to people in your department? Who is going to take pictures of the items and post them online? Who is going to email people to pick up their items and collect the money? Who is going to set up the auction online and be responsible for it?
TIPS: Be CREATIVE Do you know someone who could donate a photograph or offer dance lessons? Do they have a spouse could donate a service such as a home inspection or scrapbooking workshop? Raffle off your Dean’s parking space Ask PRF for leftover sporting tickets they do not want Use the community as a resource Gift cards, donations, promotional items-coupons Advertise, Advertise, Advertise
