In “A Life God Rewards”, Bruce Wilkinson explores the basic structure of 6 Main Events that make up our ‘forever life’. Although there are other important events that take place in the ‘End Times’, this simplifies things for each individual.

We are spiritual / physical “hybrids”. Event 1: Life Human Beings are created in the image of God and are entrusted to be “caretakers” over God’s creation (Genesis 1: 26-29). We are spiritual / physical “hybrids”.

Event 2: Death You die physically, but not spiritually. The death of your body is your exit from life on Earth. Yet… your life as a soul and spirit continues onward.

Event 3: Destination You reach your eternal destination after death. The Bible claims of only two destinations: Heaven or Hell. Your destination is based on your choice to believe in Jesus as your Savior…or not.

Event 4: Resurrection You will receive a resurrected body, which is new and immortal (but still “you”.) * John 5: 28-29 * Philippians 3: 20-21 * 1 Corinthians 15: 51-57

Event 5: Repayment You receive your eternal reward (or retribution) based on your actions while alive on Earth. This judgment will determine your degree of reward in Heaven or degree of retribution in Hell. * Matt. 16: 27 * Revelation 20: 11-15

Event 6: Eternity You will live forever in the presence (or absence) of God… where you will experience the consequences of your beliefs and behaviors while on Earth. “These will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.” (Matt. 25:46)

Looking at this “Big Picture” of eternity should sober us all to the reality of Hell. So many have lost loved ones under false beliefs that because they loved them, they will be in Heaven.

Every day we make our choice anew. What we do with the little dot on this line of our “forever life” makes all the difference in the world! Will we be intentionally, eternally-minded or will we waste our days? Every day we make our choice anew.
