Step 1, MATLAB Installation Download a full version of MATLAB (any version works!) onto your laptop via the university site license: http://www.ece.utexas.edu/it/matlab. Requesting a Math Works account happens through UT ServiceNow during the download process. The account creation procedure including an “activation key” will be sent to your email associated with UT Austin. Please follow instructions on account creation directly from the email. During the installation, please select, at least, “DSP System Toolbox, Signal Processing Toolbox”, and “Image Processing Toolbox”.
Step 2, Code Composer Studio (CCS) Installation -- Mac Users For Mac users. We recommend you to install Windows using a virtual machine for the Mac, such as VMware, available free for UT students at http://www.ece.utexas.edu/it/software, and then complete the windows Installation steps.
Step 2, Code Composer Studio (CCS) Installation -- Windows Users For Windows Users, download CCS version 7.4.0 for free at http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Download_CCS#Code_Composer_Studio_Version_7_Downloads Installation takes ~ 20-25 min and is around 500 MB
