Information Management Systems Key Updates 10th Tuna Data Workshop

Overview Status of the IMS Licensing Data & Systems Integration Immediate Future Plans

Status of the IMS IMS portals: All FFA Members have access to an IMS portal and all the modules that have been developed Demo portal is now available: http://rimf.ffa.int/demo Username and password = demo About 17 modules have been developed to date Modules can be customised to suit country requirements

IMS Focus Areas Greater awareness of the RIMF/IMS: Strengthen understanding of the available tools and purpose of the RIMF/IMS More web resources and tools available as part of publicity strategy Emphasis on training: Implementation of training strategy for RIMF/IMS Focus on national IMS training with the possibility of regional IMS trainings

IMS Focus Areas Refresh of IMS infrastructure, code, and modules To improve integration and streamline functionality Preparation for e-reporting modules Review of RIMF/IMS infrastructure and framework to optimise performance

Licensing Module One of the highest priorities Varying national licensing requirements and complexity has led to several iterations of development Integration with TUFMAN2 is in progress Working with 4 Members initially – Cook Is, Tonga, Samoa, and FSM Roll-out to other Members will commence after

Data & Systems Integration Integration of external data and systems remains a key area of work for the RIMF and Nation IMS Data integrations: SPC – Unloading, Sampling, and Catch and effort data from TUFMAN2, Observer placements from OPM, FFA Good standing register, UST logbooks WCPFC – RFV PNAO – VMS manual reports, FFA Good standing register, PNAO Member licences, VMS data

Data & Systems Integration Systems integrations: Exploring single sign-on capability between National IMS and SPC systems (TUFMAN2, DORADO, TUBS) Currently use web services for data sharing and integration between FFA and SPC systems Similar look and feel of FFA and SPC portal interfaces

Immediate Future Plans Next 3 months: IMS-related visits to Tonga, Cook Islands, Niue, FSM, Fiji, and Samoa Licensing module for Tonga, Cooks Islands, FSM, and Samoa OPM in-country training including limited rollout of inReach units for observer safety BOJAK mobile app rollout as part of wider MCS module in the IMS
