Writing Math: Place Value We will learn how the three digits of a three digit number represent amounts of hundreds, tens, and ones. We will also read and write numbers to 1,000 using different forms. We will also count within 1,000 and skip count by 5’s, 10’s, and 100’s. Choose a writing prompt from the October writing calendar Math IXL Practice – math facts within 20 Practice skip counting out loud by 5’s, 10’s, and 100’s within 1,000. Writing: Personal Narratives We will learn how to edit and publish our narratives. Our narrative will recount a well elaborated short sequence of events, include details to describe actions, thoughts, and feelings, uses transition words, and provide a sense of closure. Spelling Complete S.O.S. for the weekly words – from, knew, most Choose a spelling activity from the October Speller’s Choice Social Studies: Civic and Government Understandings We will define the concept of government and the need for rules and laws.
